Fall Fling 2010
It's
been a while since OBS cycling/camping weekends have taken us to
Ft. Cobb State
Park, but that will be the case Oct 9 & 10, 2010. We will be camping at
White's Catfish Cove.
Saturday's ride, which will start at 9:00 AM, will take us to Anadarko for lunch with an option to add a few additional miles for a visit to Woods and Waters Winery on the return route. Another option is to just ride to the winery, have lunch there and return to camp. The distance to Anadarko and back to camp will be about 44 miles, 55 miles if you ride to Anadarko and then visit the winery, or about 41 miles to just go directly to the winery and back to camp.
Saturday evening will be the World Famous OBS Potluck Dinner around the campfire. Please bring a dish to share with the group and don't forget to bring serving utensils and your own plates, bowls, napkins and eating utensils.
Sunday, we will enjoy breakfast at the excellent little cafe at Cobb Creek, a round trip of just about 42 miles. The starting time of the Sunday ride will be determined at the Saturday evening at the Pot Luck by those planning to ride .
All of these are excellent routes with some unique western Oklahoma scenery.
for some photos of May Getaway 2005, which was held at Ft. Cobb State Park.
